Arrived on Wednesday 20th, November, we have been stuck in Christchurch, waiting for a favorable window to fly South. In the meanwhile, we wake up early in the morning (to get a status update!) and wander in town!
Downtown Christchurch was partially destroyed on February 22nd, 2011 by a magnitude 6.3 earthquake. Since then, the town is trying to rebuild. It is hard to have a good idea of what the city was like prior to the quake...

Arrivés le mercredi 20 Novembre, nous avons été bloqué dans
la ville de Christchurch, dans l’attente d’un créneau favorable pour le Grand
Sud. Les journées commencent donc de très bonne heure (pour savoir si oui ou
non nous allons partir).

Christchurch a été partiellement détruit le 22 février 2011, lors d’un séisme
de magnitude 6.3… .Depuis la ville se reconstruit petit à petit et il est
difficile d’avoir une idée de ce à quoi ressemblait la ville avant la
catastrophe…
